The percentage of world population in India, China and rest of South Asia have all remained on similar levels for the last few thousands of years of recorded history.

Did you ever notice that of all major world cuisines only in Mexican food (the American take on it at least), are mushrooms not really included?

Did you know that flea circuses are/were real? They really trained (and still do in Germany), which is to say selectively bred human-fleas and attached them to minute metal harnesses etc.

If you peruse the global statistics of legal intoxicants the following trends stand out: -Middle Eastern (as in Arabian-ish) people don't drink much alcohol -Indians (subcontinent, not Native Americans) don't smoke much tobacco -Scandanavians drink significanly more caffeine than other people.

Did you ever notice that Indians (subcontinent, not Native Americans) never have the same first name? if you meet a bunch of Westerners there will be repeats (Mikes, Johns, Sallys etc).  In Arabian countries there will be Mohammeds, Akmeds, Alis, Akeems, etc. In Oriental countries there will be Chins, Chongs, Dongs, etc.; but there seems to be a different given name for every Indian you meet. I've NEVER met two Indians with the same first name, though I have met many dozens.
